Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Julia Melio (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 1, it was announced by the NCAC.

Melio, a forward on the Ohio Wesleyan field hockey team, was named Field Hockey Player of the Week.

Melio scored the game-winning goal with 5:50 left in regulation time in Ohio Wesleyan's 4-3 win over Sewanee on Saturday.  The deciding goal was her second of the contest.  Melio had given the Battling Bishops a 1-0 lead with a goal just 75 seconds into her collegiate career.
