Ohio Wesleyan University senior Chris Mondon (Mansfield/Lexington) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 20, it was announced by the NCAC.

Mondon, a linebacker on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Mondon led the Ohio Wesleyan defense with 9 tackles in the Bishops' 23-16 win at DePauw on Saturday.  He had 3 tackles for loss during the game, one of which came on a third-down play in the first quarter and forced DePauw to settle for a field goal.  He also had a tackle for no gain on a third-down play in the second quarter, again forcing DePauw to settle for a field goal attempt.
