Ohio Wesleyan University junior Anne Edwards (Golf, Ill./Glenbrook South) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 23, it was announced by the NCAC.
Edwards, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's swimming & diving team, was named Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week.
Edwards won 3 events and set 2 school records in one race to lead Ohio Wesleyan to the team title at the Corbiere-Merion Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday and Sunday. Edwards won the 500 freestyle in 5:12.83, touched first in the 200 butterfly in 2:20.27, and won the 1650 freestyle in 17:42.86, breaking the school record of 17:45.98 she set in 2014. Edwards covered the first 1000 yards of that race in 10:40.80, breaking the school record of 10:55.82 she set in 2014.
