Ohio Wesleyan University senior Claude Gray (Avon) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 7, it was announced by the NCAC.

Gray, a wing on the Ohio Wesleyan men's basketball team, was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Gray scored 10 points during the second half as sixth-ranked Ohio Wesleyan expanded a 4-point halftime lead into a 22-point margin with 6:01 to play on the way to an 88-75 win over Wooster in the Bishops' NCAC opener on Wednesday  He finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds.  Gray then scored 9 points during an 18-4 run that gave the Bishops a double-digit lead in a 92-82 win at Denison on Saturday.  He scored a game-high 30 points and shared team lead with 8 rebounds.  The 2 wins extended Ohio Wesleyan's season-opening winning streak to 8 games.
