Ohio Wesleyan University senior Abbey Warth (Massillon/Tuslaw) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 18, it was announced by the NCAC.
Warth, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Distance Runner of the Week.
Warth, competing at the All-Ohio championship meet, won All-Ohio titles in 2 events to lead Ohio Wesleyan to its first All-Ohio team championship since 2011. Warth won the 800- and 1500-meter runs in respective times of 2:15.55 and 4:37.55, and also won All-Ohio honors as part of the Bishops' third-place 1600-meter relay team.
