Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Fowler (Mount Vernon/Fredericktown) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 12, it was announced by the NCAC.

Fowler, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's cross country team, was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Fowler won individual honors at the OWU Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.  Fowler won the 5000-meter race in 19:09.6, finishing more than 36 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.  The individual title was her second in as many outings this season.  Ohio Wesleyan finished second in the team standings.
