Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Torii Hilbert (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 10, it was announced by the NCAC.
Hilbert, a cornerback on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.
Hilbert, making his first collegiate start at cornerback, helped the Bishops to a 25-17 win over Kenyon on Saturday. He made 8 tackles, including 6 solos, intercepted one pass and broke up 3 others. During Kenyon's final drive, Hilbert made 3 tackles and broke up 2 passes, including a key breakup on third-and-10 from the Ohio Wesleyan 17-yard line.
