Ohio Wesleyan University senior Ben Simpson (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 6, it was announced by the NCAC.

Simpson, a post on the Ohio Wesleyan men's basketball team, was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Simpson scored 7 consecutive points for Ohio Wesleyan as the Bishops broke a 64-64 tie, and Ohio Wesleyan went on to record an 82-77 win over 12th-ranked Denison on Wednesday.  He finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds as Ohio Wesleyan moved into tie for first place in NCAC standings.  Simpson then scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the week as the Bishops recorded a 92-71 win at Kenyon on Saturday.
