Ohio Wesleyan University senior Megan Kuether (Osgood/Marion Local) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 13, it was announced by the NCAC.
Kuether, a guard on the Ohio Wesleyan women's basketball team, was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Kuether scored 16 of her game-high 23 points during the second half as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Hiram, 69-63, on Wednesday. She went 4-for-4 from the line during the final 20 seconds to seal the outcome and led the Bishops with 23 points and 6 assists. On Saturday, in a 74-57 win against Wooster, she scored 4 points during a 9-0 run that gave Ohio Wesleyan the lead for good and went on to lead the Bishops with 18 points and 6 assists. On the week, Kuether averaged 20.5 points and 6.0 assists per game, adding to her league-leading averages in both categories.
