Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Marie Overing (Amsterdam, the Netherlands/Vossius Gymnasium) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 3, it was announced by the NCAC.

Overing, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's golf team, was named Women's Golfer of the Week.

Overing won a playoff for medalist honors to help Ohio Wesleyan win the team title at the Miami Whitewater Classic on Saturday and Sunday.  Overing turned in a 90 on Sunday to finish in a tie for first place in the individual standings at 177.  In the sudden-death playoff for medalist honors, both golfers made par on the first hole before Overing emerged as the victor with a par on the second hole.
