Ohio Wesleyan University senior Brad Brodek (Parma/Valley Forge) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 16, it was announced by the NCAC.
Brodek, a free safety on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.
Brodek led the Bishops with 13 tackles, including half a sack and a tackle for loss, in Ohio Wesleyan's 16-13 win over then-20th-ranked Wabash on Saturday. Brodek helped drop a Wabash ball carrier for a 2-yard loss on a fourth-and-1 call from the Ohio Wesleyan 9-yard line to end one Little Giant possession, and on Wabash's final drive of the game, he combined on a second-down sack that forced a Wabash field goal attempt.
