Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Kor'Darius Melton (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 13, it was announced by the NCAC.
Melton, a defensive end on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.
Melton led the Bishops with 14 tackles in their 24-3 win over Hiram on Saturday. He recorded 4 sacks, tying for third place on the Ohio Wesleyan single-game list, and 5 tackles for loss, and forced 2 fumbles. Both of his solo sacks resulted in Hiram fumbles, with one of the fumbles returned for an Ohio Wesleyan touchdown. He assisted on third-down sacks to help end Hiram possessions in the second and third quarters, and assisted on 2 sacks as Ohio Wesleyan ended a fourth-quarter Hiram possession with sacks on 4 consecutive plays.
