Ohio Wesleyan University senior Colin Stolly (Lima/Central Catholic) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 2, it was announced by the NCAC.
Stolly, a third baseman on the Ohio Wesleyan baseball team, was named Baseball Player of the Week.
Stolly went 4-for-9 on Saturday as the Battling Bishops opened their NCAC schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Oberlin. Stolly smashed a grand slam in the sixth inning of the opener, stretching a 2-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead into a 6-0 margin in a game the Bishops would eventually win, 9-1. In the nightcap, he singled home a run in the seventh to break a 5-5 tie, and that margin would stand up as the Bishops completed the sweep with a 6-5 win. On the day, he had 4 hits, including a double and a home run, scored 3 runs, and drove in 5 more.
