Meet the Bishops: Get to know a little about Rachel Bush of the Ohio Wesleyan women's cross country team
Class Year: 2019
Major: Fine Arts – Studio Art
How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I picked Ohio Wesleyan for several reasons: the amazing art facilities and professors, the university's athletic program, and the location.
How/Why did you choose your major?
I decided to major in studio art because I knew it would be beneficial to my photography business.
What is your number one goal, personal or for the team, for this season?
My number one goal for this season is to just enjoy it. This will be my 10th and final year running competitively in both track and cross country.
What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
My favorite memory is from track my freshman year when my mentor, Sarah Fowler, taught me how to steeplechase and run the water barrier like an All-American.
What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate, I plan to continue running my photography business and eventually photograph destination weddings for my clients.
If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
If I could have one super power I would want it to be the ability to teleport. I think it would be the coolest form of transportation and would make traveling a breeze.
What movie or TV show would you like to star in?
I'm not a very good actor, but I always thought it would be fun to be an extra in a superhero movie. All you would have to do is run around and act like the world is ending when buildings start falling over.
What is your go-to snack after a long meet?
I normally eat cookies before I run, but cookies are pretty good after a race as well.
