Meet the Bishops: Get to know a little about Madeline Nemeth of the Ohio Wesleyan rowing team

Class Year: 2022

Major(s): International Studies and Spanish

How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because of the small class size and amazing study abroad opportunities.

How/Why did you choose your major?
I chose International Studies and Spanish as my majors because I love the Spanish language and I'm really interested in foreign cultures and governments.

What made you want to compete on the brand-new Ohio Wesleyan rowing team?
I wanted to join the rowing team because it looked like a really fun sport and I knew one of the girls who had already joined the team.

What is your favorite memory from being on the OWU rowing team thus far?
My favorite memory from crew so far was during our first regatta when we got second place in the first sprint. It was awesome.

What event/sport other than your own would you like to try?
Another sport I would like to try is sand volleyball.

What are your strengths as an athlete?
I think my biggest strength is leadership.

What is your favorite place to eat in Delaware and what is your go-to dish there?
My favorite place to eat in Delaware is Amato's. I love their lobster ravioli.

If you could visit another time period, when would it be and why?
If I could visit another time period, I would choose the late 1700s because I am low-key obsessed with the American Revolution.

What movie or TV show would you like to star in and why?
Honestly, I would love to be in any of the Harry Potter movies because I have loved the books ever since elementary school.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why?
If I could have a super power I would probably choose teleportation so I wouldn't have to walk in the cold.
