Ohio Wesleyan University junior James Huddleston (Pontiac, Mich./Saint Marys Preparatory) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 6, it was announced by the NCAC.
Huddleston, a defensive end on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Defensive Player of the Week.
With Ohio Wesleyan holding a 17-7 lead over Denison on Saturday, Huddleston rang up a fourth-down sack to end a Denison drive at the Bishop 35-yard line late in the third period, and helped the Ohio Wesleyan defense hold Denison on downs twice more during the fourth quarter of a 17-14 win.
Huddleston finished with 8 tackles, including 2 sacks for a loss of 7 yards and 4 total tackles for loss totaling 14 yards.
