Ohio Wesleyan University junior Courtney Tincher (Zanesville/West Muskingum) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7, it was announced by the NCAC.

Tincher was named Women's Golfer of the Week.

Tincher fired a first-round 83 to take medalist honors at the rain-shortened Ohio Northern Polar Bear Classic, helping the Battling Bishops finish with a 358 to take the team title by 11 shots.  The 6-team tournament represents the biggest field the Bishops have defeated in their 4 seasons of varsity competition.  Ohio Wesleyan's last tournament victory was in a triangular matchup on March 16 at Savannah State.
