SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's golf team wrapped up their fall season on Monday and Tuesday at the Wittenberg Fall Classic at Springfield Country Club. The Battling Bishops finished fifth in the nine-team field, shooting identical rounds of 314 for a total of 628 strokes.
ROUND ONE
The Bishops started out in the middle of the pack, finding themselves in fifth after shooting a combined 314 in round one.
Gavin Stutz led the way with two birdies and a 77 for the first round.
Ryan Ashby was right behind with three birdies en route to a score of 78.
Daniel Golin was next with two birdies and an eagle for a 79.
Callahan Lawler and
Nate Tripp split the final spot on the team scorecard as both finished with 80s.
ROUND TWO
OWU would stay put on day two, shooting another 314 to finish fifth at 628.
Gavin Stutz scored another 77, shooting three more birdies as he finished 16th overall with a total of 154.
Callahan Lawler also shot a 77 on day two, dropping three strokes and making two birdies. He ended T-25th with a final tally of 157.
Lawler was joined in 25th place by
Ryan Ashby who shot a 79 with three birdies on day two, bringing his score to 157 as well.
Nate Tripp and
Daniel Golin shared the final spot on the team scorecard, both shooting 81. Golin's final total was 160, putting him at T-32nd. Tripp's final tally was 161, placing him T-34th.
