DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team hosted Case Western Reserve on Saturday afternoon, ultimately falling 172-70.
INDIVIDUALS
John Wion won two of his three individual events, taking the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 24.14 and the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 52.99. He also took third in the 100 yard butterfly with a 54.46.
Eric Sander secured a win in the 400 yard individual medley with a 4:27.93. He also finished second in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:52.42.
Ian Sander finished second in the 50 yard breaststroke with a 28.04 and third in the 100 yard breaststroke with a 1:02.39.
Henry Gaudet took third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.86, also finishing fourth in the 50 yard freestyle with a 23.25 and sixth in the 50 yard butterfly with a 25.63.
Collin Barth recorded a third place finish in the 400 yard individual medley at 4:54.69, a fourth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a 2:00.72, and sixth in the 100 yard butterfly with a 58.03.
RELAYS
Ohio Wesleyan was third and fifth in the 200 yard medley relay, led by the team of
John Wion,
Ian Sander,
Tomoki Nishigori, and
Henry Gaudet with a 1:39.88.
OWU took third again in the 200 yard freestyle relay as the team of
Evan Lucas,
Elliott Montana,
Eric Sander, and
Ian Sander posted a time of 1:36.80.
