LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's cross country team traveled to Kentucky on Saturday to take part in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meet hosted by Spalding University. The NCAC Champions finished fifth in the 37-team field, scoring 152 points. Trine (58), Calvin (91), and Hope (122) took the top three spots with John Carroll (135) sneaking into fourth.
NCAC Runner of the Year
Zoe Ward once again led the way for OWU, snagging a podium spot at third overall with a time of 22:08.62.
Sophie Cotts and
Brianna Montgomery crossed the line next, finishing back-to-back at 23rd and 24th. Cotts turned in a time of 22:46.22 with Montgomery trailing by exactly four seconds at 22:50.22.
Laura Wagner and NCAC Newcomer of the Year
Hope Morris finished fourth and fifth for the Bishops to tally out the team score at 152. Wagner came in 45th, scoring 44 at 23:17.71. Morris ran a 23:31.46 to finish 60th and score 58.
The next two to cross for the Red and Black were
Allison Dietz and
Ella Chomic at 88th and 89th respectively, separated by 0.13 seconds at 24:07.18 and 24:07.31.
