CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore
John Wion as the NCAC Athlete of the Week for men's swimming and diving.
Wion won all three of his events on Saturday as the Bishops dashed past Baldwin Wallace 127-81. Individually, he would take both the 200 yard individual medley and the 200 yard backstroke, turning in times of 2:01.85 in the IM and 2:01.96 in the back. Wion also led the Battling Bishops to victory in the 200 yard freestyle relay, putting up the team's fastest split at 21.84 on the third leg, en route to a final time of 1:30.95.
Wion and the Red and Black are back in the pool at the Meek Center on Friday for a 5 p.m. faceoff with Kenyon.
Wion is the seventh NCAC Athlete of the Week honoree for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
