ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's golf team took to the course at the 36-hole Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. The Battling Bishops went on to finish seventh in the team standings with rounds of 317 and 311 for a two-day total of 628.
OWU put up a team score of 317 and found themselves in seventh after day one.
Gavin Stutz led the way with four birdies en route to a round of 77.
Callahan Lawler was right behind with a 78, also with four birdies in the first round.
Daniel Golin and Nate Tripp both tallied 81s on day one to round out the team score at 317. Golin had one birdie and Tripp totalled three.
Tyler Snyder shot an 82 with one birdie.
The Red and Black kept their spot on the leaderboard after day two, dropping six strokes as a squad for a 311 and a 36-hole total of 628. Stutz took the top spot with a 79 on day two for a total of 156 and a T-21st finish. Golin and Lawler both finished T-25th at 157. Golin dropped five strokes to a 76 in his second round. Lawler shot a 79. Tripp took the final spot on the team scorecard with a four-stroke drop, shooting 77 on day two for a total of 158 and a T-31st finish. Snyder shot a second round of 79, dropping two strokes and totaling 161 to finish T-42nd.
