CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University cross country teams hit the course at the All-Ohio Classic hosted by Cedarville on Friday night. The OWU women finished third overall and second among Division III schools with a score of 123. The men's squad concluded the day 18th overall, and ninth among Division III competitors with a score of 258.
WOMEN
The Battling Bishops started the night strong with the 6:00 p.m. women's 6K race, with 44 points and a second place finish amongst Division III competition, only behind John Carroll at 41.
Zoe Ward led the way for the Bishops as she finished with an impressive time of 22:39.7, placing her third among Division III teams, and 16th overall.
Sophie Cotts was next to cross the line, with a final time of 22:50.5. Her time was good enough for fifth within Division III.
Brianna Montgomery trailed close behind, finishing with a time of 23:04.0, placing her ninth among Division III competition.
Mckenna Downing finished 11th among Division III, crossing the line with a score of 23:23.7.
Laura Wagner concluded scoring with a time of 23:38.6, good for 16th among Division III.
MEN
The OWU men finished the night with the 8K race, tallying 258 points, placing them ninth amongst Division III schools.
Jacob Blubaugh was the first Bishop to cross the line as he recorded a time of 27:51.8, placing him 69th among Division III competition.
Xavier Platt was next to finish, with a time of 28:11.5 and 80th place among Division III.
Next was
Lucas Weaver, crossing with a time of 28:20.2, putting him 86th.
Perry Jackson trailed closely, finishing in a time of 28:32.5 and 91st place.
Austin Kling concluded the scoring, finishing in 106th place with a time of 29:04.9.

The Bishops will host the OWU Invitational on October 3rd at Liberty Park with the women running at 6 p.m. and the men running at 6:45 p.m.
