LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's cross country team traveled to Kentucky on Saturday to take part in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meet hosted by Spalding University. The Battling Bishops finished 30th in the 37-team field with 878 points. Hope (53), Rose-Hulman (94), and John Carroll (130) took the top three spots.
Jacob Blubaugh,
Lucas Weaver, and
Austin Kling came across as the first three for OWU. Blubaugh finished 135th overall, scoring 133 with a 27:25.99. Weaver was next in 165th, scoring 161 at 27:54.53, followed by Kling in 193rd, scoring 187 with a 28:42.09.
Taking the fourth and fifth spots for Ohio Wesleyan were
Perry Jackson and
Colby Sprague at 200th and 212th. Jackson scored 193 with a 28:51.00 while Sprague scored 204 with a 28:59.77.
The next two to cross for the Red and Black were
Xavier Platt and
Haden Kirkham. Platt turned in 29:13.05 to finish 220th. Kirkham had a 29:25.17 to finish 229th.
