CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athletes of the Week for the last week of April. Ohio Wesleyan University freshman distance runner
Zora Starner was picked as the NCAC Athlete of the Week for the women's track & field distance category.
Starner earned her first collegiate outdoor victory at the Big Red Invitational on Friday in the 1500-meter run, leading the pack of NCAC-heavy competition with a time of 5:04.47.
Starner and the Red and Black will be back on the track at the NCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday in Gambier.
This is the first career NCAC Athlete of the Week honor for Starner and the 27th for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
