Ohio Wesleyan University juniors Jerry Moore (Mogadore) and Megan Weissenberger (Toledo/Central Catholic) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 26, it was announced by the NCAC.
Weissenberger, an outside hitter on the Ohio Wesleyan volleyball team, was named Volleyball Player of the Week. In the Bishops' win over Oberlin on Sunday, Weissenberger pounded out 10 kills to lead the Bishop offense and contributed 12 digs. The win broke Ohio Wesleyan's 20-match losing streak in NCAC competition, dating back to Oct. 24, 2009. On the week, Weissenberger compiled team bests of 36 kills (2.40/set) and 54 digs (3.60/set) in 5 matches.
