WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's golf team took part in the 36-hole JCU Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, hosted by John Carroll at Manakiki Golf Course. The Bishops finished 10th with rounds of 372 and 383 for a total of 755 strokes.
ROUND ONE
The Battling Bishops got out to a decent start in round one on Saturday, finishing with a team score of 372 and sitting nine strokes ahead of Wooster in ninth place.
Audrey Nichols and
Lexi Rush led OWU's efforts with scores of 88 and 89 respectively. Nichols dropped in a birdie on hole 11, followed by an eagle on hole 12 to pace the Red and Black. Similarly, Rush put up a birdie on hole 12.
Carly Lehman and
Angela Soellner came next, wrapping up the team score with a 96 and 99 respectively.
Bella Gales shot a 105 in round one.
ROUND TWO
The Bishops struggled a bit on day two, adding 11 strokes at 383 for the round, and finishing the tournament with a total of 755.
Again,
Audrey Nichols and
Lexi Rush took the top two spots on the team card. Rush dropped a stroke and dropped in two birdies en route to shooting an 88 and finishing 22nd with a total of 177. Nichols was right behind with a birdie and a 90 in round two to finish T-23rd at 178.
The last two spots on the team card were taken by
Bella Gales and
Carly Lehman. Gales shot a 103 for a total of 208 and 55th place finish. Lehman ended her weekend with a 102 for a total of 198, finishing 46th.
Angela Soellner shot a 105 in round two. She finished 52nd with a total of 204.

The Bishops wrap up their fall schedule on Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th at the IUK Crimson Classic hosted by Indiana University Kokomo at Wildcat Creek Golf Course in Kokomo, Indiana.
