DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's swimming and diving team hosted Ohio Northern and Bluffton on Friday night, beating both the Polar Bears and the Beavers with respective scores of 134-84 and 172-34.
INDIVIDUALS
August Lemert took first in both of her individual events, turning in a time of 2:04.40 in the 200 yard freestyle and a time of 5:41.85 in the 500 yard freestyle.
MacKenzie Carter recorded wins in both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke with respective times of 25.22 and 1:03.32.
Anna Lance nabbed first in both the 100 yard individual medley and the 100 yard butterfly. She swam a 1:04.56 in the IM and 1:02.16 in the fly.
Zoie Buck ran away with the 1000 yard freestyle, finishing 10 seconds ahead at 12:20.78. She also finished second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:59.23
Ellie Cady secured second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a 2:07.46, followed by a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a 58.73.
Maria Thibodeaux finished third in both the 100 yard individual medley and the 100 yard backstroke with respective times of 1:10.26 and 1:10.66.
Maddie Hoyt took second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.09.
Emilie Ott finished third in the one meter diving.
RELAYS
OWU would place first and third in the 200 yard medley relay. The first place team of
Ellie Cady,
Maddie Hoyt,
Anna Lance, and
Anna Haines turned in a time of 1:57.80. The third place squad of
Frannie Rhine,
Lauren James,
Elisabeth Madore, and
Zoie Shaw swam a 2:26.97.
The Battling Bishops took first in the 200 yard freestyle relay with
August Lemert,
Maria Thibodeaux,
Avery Hudak, and
MacKenzie Carter combining for a 1:48.42.
