DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's swimming & diving team competed in two meets over the past weekend, first hosting Oberlin on Friday followed by a road contest with Wooster on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Battling Bishops would fall in both, losing 199-86 to Oberlin and 163-46 to Wooster.
FRIDAY VS. OBERLIN
The Bishops started off the night with a second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay after
Ellie Cady,
Anna Lance,
MacKenzie Carter, and
Bella Guzzetta turned in a 2:00.52.
Anna Haines earned OWU's next top-three placement in the 200 yard freestyle, swimming a 2:13.64.
Carter took the top spot in the 50 yard backstroke as well as the 50 yard butterfly. She swam a 28.11 in the 50 back and a 28.01 in the 50 fly.
Maddie Hoyt turned in a 32.47 for second place in the 50 yard breaststroke, the fastest time for the Red and Black this season. She also finished second in the 100 yard individual medley with a 1:09.27, her fastest 100 IM this season.
Lance was second in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 1:03.83. She also finished third in the 100 yard backstroke at 1:07.36.
Avery Hudak came in third in the 100 yard breaststroke, swimming a 1:22.40.
Zoie Buck took third in the 500 yard freestyle with a 6:04.63.
Emilie Ott finished second in one-meter diving, scoring 106.65 in the first event and 116.60 in the second event.
Ohio Wesleyan wrapped up the night taking second and third in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Carter, Hoyt, Cady, and Lance combined for a time of 1:50.44 for second place. Haines,

Frannie Rhine, and Guzzetta took third place with a 1:58.80.
SATURDAY AT WOOSTER
The Red and Black got started on Saturday with a second place finish in the 400 yard medley relay with
MacKenzie Carter,
Maddie Hoyt,
Anna Lance, and
Anna Haines notching a 4:24.67.
Carter took first in the 50 yard freestyle, swimming a 26.01.
Hoyt turned in a 2:43.36 for second in the 200 yard breaststroke
Emilie Ott placed first in one-meter diving, scoring 139.35.
OWU capped off the weekend with a third place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay courtesy of

Zoie Buck with a 4:20.59.
