DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's swimming and diving team hosted the 15th annual Corbiere-Merion Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Meek Center. The Battling Bishops scored 754 points and finished third in the six-team field that featured Davis & Elkins, Heidelberg, Wilmington, Hanover, and West Virginia Wesleyan. Davis & Elkins would win the event on the women's side with 873 points.
INDIVIDUALS
MacKenzie Carter won all three of her individual events, taking the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and the 50-yard freestyle with respective times of 59.11, 2:12.55, and 24.72.
Anna Lance nabbed two wins and one third-place finish in her three individual events. She was first in both the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard individual medley with times of 2:15.67 and 1:03.52, and third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.11.
August Lemert managed one win and two second-place finishes with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:59.48 and second place in both the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:23.34 and the 100-yard individual medley with a 1:05.48.
Zoie Buck recorded three top-five finishes in the 1650-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and 200-yard backstroke. She was third in the 1650 free at 20:07.60, fourth in the 500 free at 5:44.42, and fifth in the 200 back at 2:24.42.
Maddie Hoyt tallied two top-five finishes, taking third in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:39.34 and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:14.57.
Ellie Cady nabbed one top-five finish in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming a 1:06.49 for fifth.
Emilie Ott was victorious in one-meter diving with a total score of 139.43.
RELAYS
OWU won both the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Anna Lance, and
August Lemert turned in a time of 1:52.25 in the 200 medley relay. Lance, Lemert, and Carter were back for the free relay, this time joined by
Anna Haines for a time of 1:42.00.
The Red and Black came in second in both the 400-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard medley relay with Lemert, Haines, Lance, and Carter swimming a 3:44.18 in the 400 free relay and Carter, Hoyt, Lance, and Haines swimming a 4:11.02 in the 400 medley relay.
The Battling Bishops' team of Lemert,
Maria Thibodeaux, Haines, and
Ellie Cady took third in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 8:41.49.

The Bishops take a break for Thanksgiving before returning to action on December 6th at Kenyon. That meet will get going in Gambier at 1 p.m.
