CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – The Ohio Wesleyan University wrestling team competed at the Wabash Invitational on Saturday, placing two wrestlers overall.
Chuck Thomas (2-2) was OWU's highest finisher, placing fifth overall in the 197 bracket and securing six points. Thomas lost his first match by a fall at the 3:11-mark before bouncing back in his second match with a pin in just 31 seconds. From there, he dropped his third match on a 12-6 decision, but ultimately secured fifth place with a fall in 6:22 in his final match of the day.
Anthony Rocco (1-3) started his day off with a fall loss in 2:46, but forced a fall of his own in just 27 seconds in his second match. Unfortunately, the third and fourth matches would not go his way, ending in falls in 0:46 and 5:43 respectively.
