ALMA, Mich. – The Ohio Wesleyan University wrestling team competed at the Mid-States Invitational on Saturday. The Battling Bishops placed 8th in the 11-team field, scoring 27.5 points.

Magnus Lloyd (2-3) was OWU's highest finisher, placing sixth overall in the 174 bracket securing 11.5 points. Lloyd won his first match by tech fall 17-2 and his second match by fall at the 0:55-mark. Unfortunately during semifinals he lost due to an injury at the 5:34-mark and had to medically forfeit his last two matches.

Alvin Osadebe (3-2) placed seventh overall in the 184 bracket and secured 9.5 points. Starting strong Osadebe won his first match by major decision 17-5. He lost his second match by fall at the 2:20-mark but came back with a win by fall at the 2:13-mark for his third match. From there he lost his fourth match by fall at the 5:26-mark but came back with a win by decision 8-6. 

Gabe Bulugaris (2-3) placed eighth overall in the 149 bracket and secured 5.5 points. Bulugaris won his first match by decision 10-3 and lost his second match by major decision 12-1. He came back with a win by decision 11-4 for his third match but unfortunately lost his fourth and fifth match.
