ADRIAN, Mich. – Three members of the Ohio Wesleyan University wrestling team competed at the Futures Tournament hosted by Adrian College on Saturday, earning 23 points.
Andrew Mushkin (1-2) was OWU's highest finisher, placing fourth overall in the 184 bracket and securing 10 points. Mushkin lost his first match by tech fall 18-1 but bounced back with a win by 9-8 decision in match two. Unfortunately, he would drop the third place match by fall at the 1:03-mark.
Jemil Pace (1-2) placed 13th overall in the 141 bracket and secured 7.5 points. After a slow start in which he lost his first two matches by tech fall at 15-0, Pace was able to bounce back and win his third by fall at the 4:30- mark.
Chris Rider (1-3) placed 14th overall in the 141 bracket and secured 5.5 points. Rider lost his first two matches by fall before forcing a fall of his at the 1:04-mark in his third. Unfortunately, he lost his last match by fall at the 4:30-mark.
