Fry, Kent, Mohns Named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – On Friday morning, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced their 2025 Division III Scholars of Distinction. The list included three student-athletes from Ohio Wesleyan University. The three Bishops were part of the 543 total Division III student-athletes recognized by the NFHCA.

Representing the Battling Bishops were junior Catherine Kent, sophomore Izzy Fry, and freshman Emma Mohns. This is the second such honor for both Kent and Fry – with Fry receiving recognition in 2024 and Kent in 2023 – and the first for Mohns.

In order to receive the honor, student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and be nominated by their NFHCA-member coaches.
