ASHLAND and GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's track & field team was in action at two locations this weekend, competing at the Jud Logan Open on Friday and Saturday in Ashland as well as traveling to Denison for the Bob Shannon Invitational on Saturday.
AT BOB SHANNON INVITATIONAL
The Battling Bishops finished seventh in the 12-team field with a total of 36 points.
Kateri Hoy finished sixth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.02, recording three points for the Bishops.
In the weight throw,
Jera Hoy took fifth with a throw of 13.84 meters. She earned four points.
Jera Hoy also nabbed fifth in the shot put with a long of 10.60 meters, earning four points.
Emma Hall finished sixth with a put of 10.30 meters, tallying three points.
In the pole vault, four Bishops took home points.
Addie Beck finished first, jumping 3.40 meters and bringing home 10 points.
Stephanie Novak took fourth with a vault of 3.10 meters, earning six points.
Claire Coleman vaulted 2.95 meters, good for fifth and five points.
Sarah Youngquist rounded out the scoring with a ninth place finish after vaulting 2.80 meters and recording one point.
AT JUD LOGAN OPEN
Kaylee Lusk and
Kennedy Elfers took seventh and eighth in the 400 meter dash, posting times of 59.20 and 59.25.
Katherine Dortmund and Elfers finished 19th and 20th in the 200 meter dash at 25.64 and 25.66.
Elfers aslo achored the 4x400 meter relay, combining efforts with
Layla Bauknect, Lusk, and
Brianna Montgomery for an eighth place finish at 4:01.15.
In the 3000 meter run,
Zoe Ward finished sixth with a time of 10:10.00.
Dortmund took fifth in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing with a 8.82.
Montgomery finished fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.77.
