NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its All-Academic Athletes and All-Academic Teams for the 2025-26 women's track & field season on Monday. Ohio Wesleyan University earned the All-Academic Team distinction and boasted seven All-Academic Athletes: juniors Sophie Cotts, Brianna Montgomery, and Zoe Ward, sophomores Katherine Dortmund, Kennedy Elfers, and Jera Hoy, and freshman Kaylee Lusk.

It is the second USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honor for both Dortmund and Elfers, and the first for Cotts, Lusk, Hoy, Mongtomery, and Ward. Cotts is majoring in Exercise Science and Pre-Med. Dortmund is double-majoring in Computer Science and Religious Studies. Elfers is double-majoring Exercise Science and Public Health. Hoy is majoring in Accounting. Lusk is majoring in Microbiology. Montgomery is double-majoring in Business Administration and Psychology. Ward is majoring in Biochemistry and Pre-Med.

To qualify for All-Academic Athlete honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.00 scale and have met either of the following athletic standards: compete in an NCAA indoor or outdoor championship, or finish the indoor season ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or the national top 35 in a relay event.

Programs are eligible for All-Academic Team honors by achieving a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.10 on a 4.00 scale – including the most recent academic term – and meeting other qualifying standards set by the USTFCCCA.
