Ross, Weber, Citek Sweep NCAC Player of the Year Awards; Nine Bishops Selected to All-NCAC Teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Monday afternoon, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced major award winners and All-NCAC teams for the 2026 men's lacrosse season. Ohio Wesleyan University junior attacker Henry Ross, senior defender Trey Weber, and senior faceoff specialist Noah Citek were elected respectively as the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, NCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and NCAC Specialist of the Year alongside All-NCAC First Team selections. In total, nine Bishops were named to the All-NCAC teams: Ross, Weber, Citek, Garrett Smith, and Will Siegenthaler to the All-NCAC First Team; Wade Beckstrom and Tanner Hower to the All-NCAC Second Team; Luke Miller and Henry Pinamonti to the All-NCAC Third Team.

Ross has now won back-to-back NCAC Offensive Player of the Year awards – making a total of five all-time selections for OWU – and has earned a third-straight All-NCAC First Team honor. He has averaged 4.35 points per game, 2.71 goals per game, and 1.65 assists per game to sit within the top four in the conference in all three categories. So far this season, Ross has recorded 46 goals, 28 assists, 74 points, 53 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers.

Weber is the fifth player in Ohio Wesleyan history to be named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year – his first major conference award. His accompanying All-NCAC First Team selection is his second career all-conference honor, after a second team selection last season. He currently leads the team in caused turnovers with 21, also picking up 32 ground balls and getting forward for two long-pole goals as well as an assist to tally three points.

Citek is the first Battling Bishop to earn the honor of NCAC Specialist of the Year – his first major conference award. His accompanying All-NCAC First Team selection is his second career all-conference honor, preceded by a third team selection in 2023. Citek currently sits at 260 faceoff wins and 187 ground balls on the season – both OWU single-season records – and ranks second in the conference with a 66.2% win-rate on faceoffs. He also broke the career records for faceoff wins and ground balls this season, totalling 794 victories and 531 pickups. Outside of the faceoff circle, Citek has scored five goals and dished out one assist to tally six points.

Siegenthaler's All-NCAC First Team selection is his second career all-conference honor, going along with a third team selection last season. He currently ranks third on the team with 47 points and 20 assists, and fourth in scoring with 27 goals. His six man-up goals lead the team as well. In the open field, Siegenthaler has grabbed five ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Smith's All-NCAC First Team selection is his fourth career all-conference honor, accompanying a third team selection last season and two second team selections in 2023 and 2024. He currently ranks third on the team in scoring with 30 goals, going along with 11 assists to sit fourth in points at 41. Smith has also collected 24 ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Beckstrom's All-NCAC Second Team selection is his third career all-conference honor, preceded by first team selections the past two seasons. He is currently tied for the team lead on the scoreboard with 46 goals, and ranks second in both assists at 25 and points at 71. Defensively, he has caused seven turnovers and has picked up 32 ground balls.

Hower's All-NCAC Second Team selection is his first career all-conference honor. He is currently fourth on the team in ground balls with 39 to go along with nine caused turnovers. Offensively, Hower has tallied two points, both on assists.

Miller's All-NCAC Third Team selection is his first career all-conference honor. So far this season, he has cemented his role in the starting lineup with 11 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls.

Pinamonti's All-NCAC Third Team selection is his first career all-conference honor. So far this season, he has caused nine turnovers and picked up 29 ground balls, also collecting three points on the offensive end with three points on two assists and one goal.

The Red and Black will be back at Selby Stadium on Wednesday, hosting Grove City in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship at 4 p.m. The Bishops earned the automatic qualifier and consequently first-round hosting rights with a 12-4 win on the road at Oberlin in the NCAC Tournament Championship this past Saturday. Ohio Wesleyan currently holds an 11-6 record overall, also claiming a share of the NCAC Championship with a 6-2 conference record.
