DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) announced its Division III All-Region teams earlier this week. Ohio Wesleyan University saw six players earn All-Region 5 selections: junior attacker
Henry Ross, senior midfielder
Will Siegenthaler, senior defender
Trey Weber, and senior faceoff specialist
Noah Citek to the first team, junior midfielder
Garrett Smith to the second team, and junior attacker
Wade Beckstrom to the honorable mention list.
Ross was the top assister for the Red and Black this season with 29, also finishing second on the team in both goals and points with 46 and 75 respectively, and landing within the top six in the conference in all three categories. He additionally led the Ohio Wesleyan offense in the hustle stats with 15 caused turnovers and 56 ground balls. This is his third first-team all-region accolade from the IMLCA, in addition to a USILA All-America honorable mention, a second-consecutive NCAC Offensive Player of the Year award, and a first-team All-NCAC honor this year.
Siegenthaler finished the season third on the Bishops in goal contributions with 48 points on 27 goals and 21 assists. He also led the team with six man-up goals, caused two turnovers, and picked up six ground balls. This is his first all-region nod from the IMLCA, in addition to a third-team USILA All-American accolade and a first-team All-NCAC selection this year.
Weber ended the season as the Bishops' leader in caused turnovers with 21 and was third in ground balls with 36. He also made a few plays on the offensive end with two long-pole goals and one assist for three points. This is his first all-region accolade from the IMLCA, in addition to a USILA All-America honorable mention, the NCAC Defensive Player of the Year award, and a first-team All-NCAC selection this year.
Citek led the conference and set new Battling Bishops single-season records with 192 ground balls and 266 faceoff wins this season. He also got forward for five goals and one assist to finish with six points, as well as causing three turnovers. This is his first all-region selection from the IMLCA, in addition to a USILA All-America honorable mention, the NCAC Specialist of the Year award, and a first-team All-NCAC selection this year.
Smith finished the season third on OWU in scoring with 31 goals, and fourth in both assists and points with 12 and 43 respectively. He also had four caused turnovers and 25 ground balls. This is his first all-region award from the IMLCA, in addition to a first-team All-NCAC selection this year.
Beckstrom ended the season as the Battling Bishops' leader in both points and goals with 77 and 51 respectively, also landing within the top four in the conference for both categories. He dished out the Bishops' second-most assists with 26, alongside eight caused turnovers and 34 ground balls. This is his third all-region accolade from the IMLCA, joining a second-team selection last year and an honorable mention in 2024, in addition to a USILA All-America honorable mention and a second-team All-NCAC selection this season.
The Red and Black had an 11-7 overall record this season and collected their second-consecutive and conference-leading 23rd NCAC Championship with a 6-2 conference record before going on to win their fourth NCAC Tournament Championship with a 12-4 win at Oberlin – going back-to-back for the first time in program history and earning their 36th NCAA tournament appearance.
