BEREA, Ohio and JOLIET, Ill. – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's track & field team competed in the first two meets of their last chance slate on Thursday and Friday, sending sprinters to Baldwin Wallace to run in the Harrison Dillard Twilight, and distance runners to St. Francis (Ill.) to run in the Fighting Chance Invite.
HARRISON DILLARD TWILIGHT
Katherine Dortmund, Layla Bauknecht,
Kennedy Elfers,
Aelyn Baumbarger, and
Alaina Nathan made their way to Berea for the Baldwin Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight on Thursday and Friday. The group competed in the 4x100-meter relay, the 100-meter hurdles, the 200-meter dash, and the 400-meter hurdles.
Dortmund nabbed first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.87.
Bauknecht took fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, turning in a 1:05.90.
Elfers finished sixth in the 200-meter dash, running a 25.84.
The 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Baubarger, Elfers, Dortmund, and Nathan turned in a time of 47.17 for first.
FIGHTING CHANCE INVITE

Elsa Hoam, and
Brianna Montgomery made their way to Joliet, Illinois for the Fighting Chance Invite hosted by St. Francis (Ill.) on Friday. The trio tried their hand in the 3000-meter steeplechase and the 10000-meter run.
Montgomery recorded an 11th place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase invite division with a time of 11:14.71.
Hoam managed sixth place in the 3000-meter steeplechase open division with an 11:42.88.
Cotts took eighth in the 10000-meter run, recording a time of 36.24.55.
