Name:  Rylee Anspach

Class year:  2024

Major:  Business administration (marketing concentration)

Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose OWU because it was close to home and it felt very comfortable and welcoming the first time I stepped on campus.

Why did you choose your major?
I chose marketing because of how much it is growing in the business world, along with a lot of it being creative.

Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
Becoming an athlete in college was something that I had always wanted to do, with it being so close to home was definitely a bonus, but the girls I met with along with Coach Cunningham made the recruiting process easy and enjoyable!

What are your strengths as an athlete?
My strengths as an athlete would be (being) a leader by example, along with a being a loud and supportive cheerleader.

What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
One goal I had for both my team and myself was to keep working on the culture of the team and continuing the tight-knit family we have.

What event/sport other than your own would you like to try?
I would like to try tennis. I think it would be a fun and different thing to try, and it would also be cool to see how hard the sport really is!

What athletic or academic achievement/accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of getting defensive player of the year last season.  It made me feel valuable and appreciated for what I did throughout the season.

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
Lady Gaga, Kesha, and Pink.

What is your ideal travel destination?
A small beach town that has small chain restaurants, riding bikes everywhere, and a peaceful beach.

If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would visit the roaring '20s.  I loved the movie The Great Gatsby, and would want to be there!
