ADRIAN, Mich. – The Ohio Wesleyan University wrestling team opened up the 2025-26 season up north at the Adrian Invitational on Saturday. The Battling Bishops finished seventh in the nine-team field with 17.5 points.
Magnus Lloyd (3-0) led OWU with the highest finish of the day, taking first in the 174 freshman/sophomore bracket. He won his first bout 18-1 on technical fall, followed by a 6-0 win in bout two, and finally an 8-0 victory in the final bout.
Anthony Rocco (2-1) finished second in the 125 bracket, starting with a bye followed by two wins before bowing out in the final. He won his first two bouts 15-7 and 16-1 before losing in the final 12-9.
Chuck Thomas (2-1) took second in the 197 freshman/sophomore bracket. He took his first two bouts 3-0, before falling 3-0 in the final.
Alvin Osadebe (1-2) ended in fourth in the 197 freshman/sophomore bracket. He stumbled in his first bout 3-2 before bouncing back 19-7 in his second. Osadebe was defeated 6-3 in his final bout of the day.
