ADRIAN, Mich. – The Ohio Wesleyan University wrestling team took the trip to Adrian College for the second time this year on Saturday, this time for the Adrian Open. Eight Battling Bishops were in action Saturday, four of which earned at least one victory on the day.
Chuck Thomas (2-2) led the Red and Black, taking his first and last bout of the day, good for fifth in the 197 freshman/sophomore bracket. Thomas won his first bout 3-0, courtesy of a takedown. In his fourth bout, he utilized the takedown once more, winning 3-0 again.
Glen Simley (2-3) won his third bout 0-0, followed by a fourth bout victory 6-0. He placed eighth in the 157 freshman/sophomore bracket.
Alvin Osadebe (1-2) took his first bout 0-0, giving him seventh place in the 197 freshman/sophomore bracket.
Tyler Lorenzen (1-3) dropped his first two bouts, but bounced back with a victory in his third bout, 8-3. Lorenzen secured eighth place in the 275 freshman/sophomore bracket.
