NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – On Friday afternoon, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released their All-Region teams for the 2026 season. Ohio Wesleyan University senior defender Abbie Grogan was named to the first team for the Great Lakes region. This is her third all-region honor and second-consecutive first-team selection, accompanying a second-team selection in 2024.

Grogan led the NCAC in both ground balls (33) and caused turnovers (20) during conference play this season, and finished second in draw controls (38). Overall, she led the Bishops in all three categories with 72 draw controls, 64 ground balls, and 36 caused turnovers, also tacking on six points all through assists. Grogan ends her career as the program record-holder for draw controls (282), ground balls (229), and caused turnovers (138). She was also awarded with her third-straight first-team All-NCAC selection and fourth-straight all-conference honor with a third team selection in 2023.

Grogan and the Red and Black finished the season at 9-6 overall with a 3-4 mark in conference play.
