Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Ben Simpson ((Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 22, it was announced by the NCAC.
Simpson, a wing player on the Ohio Wesleyan men's basketball team, was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Simpson scored 20 points during the first half as 10th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan built a 22-point halftime lead on the way to a 92-81 win over Otterbein on Saturday. During the first half, Simpson was 7-for-10 from field, 2-3 from 3-point range, and 4-for-4 from line. He finished with a career-high 25 points and added 5 steals as the Bishops moved to 9-1 on the season.
