Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Ty Mansfield (Columbus/Bexley) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 20, it was announced by the NCAC.
Mansfield, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's swimming & diving team, was named Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Mansfield won 2 events and helped 3 relay teams to wins as Ohio Wesleyan took the team title at its Corbiere-Merion Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. She won the 50 freestyle in :24.29 and the 100 freestyle in :54.02, and added a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle. Mansfield led off the Bishop 400 freestyle relay team that won its event in 3:42.50, helped the 400 medley relay team win in 4:05.19, led off the 200 freestyle relay team that won in 1:41.16, and anchored the Ohio Wesleyan 800 freestyle relay team that finished second.
