Ohio Wesleyan University junior James Toland (Stow/Walsh Jesuit) was named North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the week of April 9, it was announced by the NCAC.

Toland, a catcher, led the Bishops to a 3-2 week.  He went 2-for-5 and scored twice in an 11-10 win over Muskingum, then highlighted a 4-game series against DePauw by going 4-for-5 in a 10-9 Bishop win on Friday and going 3-for-4 as Ohio Wesleyan erased deficits of 4-1 and 9-4 on Saturday.  In the 4-game set against DePauw, he batted .571 (8-for-14) with 5 doubles.
