Ohio Wesleyan University senior Amanda Barker (Granville) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 18, it was announced by the NCAC.

Barker, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan softball team, was named Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Barker went 5-0 during the Bishops' spring trip to Florida.  She was a part of 3 shutouts during the trip, including a 2-hitter against Nichols in which she took a perfect game into the seventh inning.  Barker finished with week with a 1.05 earned run average.  She struck out 32 batters while walking only 4 in 26.2 innings, and held opposing batters to a .204 average.
