Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Mason Espinosa (Cookeville, Tenn.), senior Travis Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington), and sophomore Hannah Zacharias (Marysville) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 31, it was announced by the NCAC.
Wall, a forward on the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team, was named Men's Soccer Player of the Week. He scored to erase a 1-0 deficit, then set up the game-winning goal to give sixth-ranked Ohio Wesleyan a 2-1 victory over Kenyon on Wednesday. In the Bishops' 1-0 win over Allegheny on Saturday, Wall scored the game-winning goal in the seventh minute. The win clinched the NCAC championship, Ohio Wesleyan's fourth straight, seventh in the last 8 years, and 20th overall in the 28 seasons of NCAC competition. The win also extended Ohio Wesleyan's unbeaten streak in NCAC games to a conference-record 40.
