Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Cade Richeson (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 2, it was announced by the NCAC.
Richeson, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field team, was named Field Events Athlete of the Week.
Richeson finished third in the shot put, fourth in the discus, and 13th in the hammer at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open on Saturday, helping Ohio Wesleyan to a third-place finish. His throws of 50-5¼ in the shot put and 152-7 in the discus lead the NCAC.
