Dave Puddington '50 was a 2-way center/linebacker in football.  He was named honorary captain of the 1949 team, which went 7-2 to post Ohio Wesleyan’s highest win total since 1934 and scored a school-record 304 points.  He also played basketball for 4 years and was a member of the 1948-49 team that won the Ohio Athletic Conference championship and posted a 17-9 record.
